The problem
Impact investors fund sustainable assets on claimed performance, but claims are self-reported and annual. Assets that could prove their impact in real time would unlock premium ESG financing.
My role
Product Idea Owner, leading a 10+ member international team (Germany, India, Spain, Brazil) through the Siemens Tech4Sustainability Challenge 2023.
Approach
- ▸Connected real-time IoT telemetry from sustainable assets to an ESG reporting layer with LCA-aligned impact tracking
- ▸Used tokenised asset identities for tamper-evident provenance; the engineering value survives just as well with a UUID and a signed lineage record
- ▸Pre-agreed decision norms across four cultures: when the team votes, when the product owner decides
What shipped
- ▸0→1 product spec and working demo for the challenge finals
- ▸An interactive reconstruction of the monitoring pattern is live on this site
